Right here in Mid-Michigan there are free, non-profit counselors that can help you. These services are certified by United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA). You will never be asked to pay them anything for their counseling services. These agencies will not offer to buy your house and sell it back to you. Beware of companies that want you to join a club or give a donation or a lump sum payment.
